SHELTERED IN PLACE
Like many of you, I’m sheltered in place.
I don’t like it.
I miss delightfully messy interactions with real live humans. I’m worried about family and friends who are in quarantine on their own. I wish I was there with them. I miss my students and the lovely unpredictability of the classroom. I feel like there isn’t too much to laugh about these days.

About Me
I’m a professor of literature in the Department of English at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. I study how people narrate the stories of their life, especially in times of disaster.
